Dragon Gods Summary/Reminders

After Fox tried to arrest Sofia, and Sofia, in turn, took Fox hostage, the two of them ended up stranded in the middle of the rainforest, needing to help each other get back home. While they were out there, they met wolfshifters (very unfriendly), shapeshifters (much more friendly), blood-sucking faeries, a dragon or two, and the first inklings of love.

By the time Sofia made it back to the resistance’s base, Fox’s father had found it (thanks to the trail Fox had left for the army, oops) and raided it. A few people were killed, and the rest arrested—all except for Javi, who was out looking for Sofia.

Sofia was sent to the prison with the rest of her people, and Chief Commander Harlow and General Ocon were quite unhappy to see she was still alive. With the help of Fox and Ian, they staged a breakout, but it was Chalia—the dragon Sofia had prayed to—who truly saved the day. She was able to fly a dozen or so resistance fighters out of the city, leaving the rest behind in hiding. Ian and Fox both stayed behind to continue their work as spies in the king’s men.

In the epilogue, we see Chief Commander Harlow bringing Fox into an old building that was hiding a massive stone cavern beneath it—and a chained-up dragon.
